As we begin to review the attempts to “reform” immigration it amazes me that our government; who clearly can’t protect us now, is on the way to increasing the risk we as Americans face everyday. We have over 12 million people who have illegally entered our country. They don’t assimilate to our customs, society or even our language. Like thieves in the night they cross the holes in our borders, steal our jobs and take advantage of the programs that people like you and I pay into to help our own poor people. We pay our taxes as responsible citizens only to have it be used to teach people in a different language for free, house people who can’t afford to pay rent, but could if they’d stayed in their own country and give Welfare to those who can’t find work. In many states these people can get Driver’s Licenses, EBT and taxpayer ID Cards so that they can collect Social Security and Medicare when they are eligible. Of course, they are the ones that actually pay taxes. Now I could go on and on about the economic impacts of illegal immigrants, how it has hurt our construction jobs, manufacturing jobs, our healthcare system, but I won’t because that isn’t even the biggest issue. The biggest issue is that even with all the funding and taxes that go into the giant black hole that is the DHS, ICE, CIA, and DNS our government still can’t keep us safe. While not to take away anything from the brave law enforcement officers who risked their lives to keep the residents of Boston and New York safe during attacks, the simple fact is they should not have had to. There is no prevention, there is no one in our government that is looking to keep us safe. In fact, our government seems to be doing everything it can to put us in danger. From leaving a gaping hole in our borders, to looking the other way to illegal inhabitants, to releasing illegals to the streets and then trying to disarm us at the same time.

I’m starting to think the Democrat Party should rename itself the Fascist Party. Its love of an all powerful, centralized government, and contempt for independent, successful individuals, are traits of a fascist mentality. Killing the long-standing Senate filibuster while in the majority, but using it unconstitutionally to block judicial nominations when in the minority, underscores an ends-justifies-the-means treachery. Power is the obsession, not societal improvement through virtue, prudence, and justice.

When it comes to keeping the First Family safe, few would dispute that it is worth paying a high price to keep the President safe from harm. This means paying for hundreds of Secret Service agents, travel in the secure space of Air Force and funding a team of doctors to follow Mr Obama around. But even this essential expense can be exploited to political ends, according to Mr Gray, a former staffer for Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.
When the President travels around the country on campaign, he is obliged to take Air Force One. His party reimburses the taxpayer with the cost of a first-class air ticket per passenger – but this is far from the full cost to taxpayers. Moreover, much of the money spent on Mr Obama’s family goes to perks such as entertainment and household expenses. For example, the White House contains a movie theatre which is manned by projectionists 24 hours a day in case one of the family feels like a trip to the cinema. And even the Obamas’ dog Bo costs the taxpayer thousands of dollars – his handler is reportedly paid over $100,000 a year. Another huge presidential outgoing, according to Mr Gray, comes in the form of staff members who can be appointed by the commander-in-chief at his own personal discretion.

The last great fault of the United States government came when banks defaulted over poor lending practices that caused a run of defaults when interest rates on adjustable mortgages went up sending hundreds of thousands of homeowners into foreclosure. This was a direct result of the democrats control over banking and lending practices. As far back as 2001 President G.W. Bush called for congressional hearings to check the status of our banking economy, at which the Democrats like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd swore it was solvent; nothing to worry about.
Now comes round two of the BarackObotomy Team screaming, “THE SKY IS FALLING.” Is it really news? The real situation is simple, Barry’s team is simply rounding up for the second stimulus payment that they need to shore up their supporters, the Unions. Remember Simpson-Bowles? Obama’s Win-Win Fiscal Cliff
While Americans across this nation forgo vacations in preparation for the 5 new ObamaCare taxes set to kick in in January 2013 averaging $3600.00 oer year per family President Obama is reportedly scheduled to be vacationing in Hawaii on January 2, the date billions in military spending cuts under sequestration will kick in if a deal is not reached on the “fiscal cliff.”
According to the Hawaii Reporter, residents who live in the area of Oahu where Obama and his family have purchased their post Presidential home will be in place for 21 days, from December 17 through January 6.
The White House has not officially announced the vacation, and it is unclear if the travel plans are finalized or if the Obamas will be in Hawaii for the entire three-week window covered by the restrictions.
Even though the election is behind him, Obama’s advisers would probably think it too much of a public relations nightmare to have the president luxuriating in paradise while the country embarks on a season of massive pain; except that it’s clear Obama doesn’t really care what the outcome of the Fiscal Cliff is. You see for Obama it’s a win-win situation. If the US goes over the cliff, he will blame the GOP, get the military cuts he longs for and raises taxes on everyone for his new spending programs. I almost can’t wait to hear the squealing sounds of the dumb masses that voted for him when they realize no Christmas is coming for the Pee-Ons.
I doubt whether Obama will delay his Hawaii sojourn if he is forced delay its start because of negotiations with Congress. He’s ready for a vaca after his long 4 years of campaigning in the last election.
Even more outrageous the Obamas skipped their traditional August trip to ritzy Martha’s Vineyard, an excursion that would have contrasted too severely with a candidate supposedly fighting for the middle class.
The Hawaii Reporter estimates that the total cost of the vacation to Hawaii and federal taxpayers, including funding for travel, staff and protection, is at least $4 million. Obama’s vacations are more expensive than those of previous presidents because of the huge costs to fly Michelle separately, because it is Muslim tradition that the wife of a muslim not travel with her husband on the same plane so look for her travel plans to be separate and don’t forget the cargo plane carrying their extra things for the nine hour flight to Hawaii.

John Boehner is nothing more than a country club republican which is quite similar to a limousine liberal. Both have money and both are clueless as to the world around them. Vacuous, drunken and dimwitted is no way to go about life but somehow it landed Mr. Boehner in the role of Speaker of the House of Representatives. Wonders never cease.
What I would like to know is how our Teflon Don President can manage to go unscathed in these perilous times? Obviously in the political climate we live in the buck doesn’t stop with the President it just stops short of the Rose Garden and makes a turn eastward towards the Boehner led House, stopping at the Republican side of the aisle.
Now we hear the hapless Boehner is planning on bending on tax increases while not hearing one democrat proposal on how they are going to cut spending. All Boehner and his hapless minions are accomplishing is freeing up more pork for Obama’s special interests. What these ball-less Republicants need to do is step aside and allow the women in their party (you know the ones with the cajones) to get things done.

The True Story of Thanksgiving — The story of the Pilgrims begins in the early part of the seventeenth century … The Church of England under King James I was persecuting anyone and everyone who did not recognize its absolute civil and spiritual authority. Those who challenged ecclesiastical authority and those who believed strongly in freedom of worship were hunted down, imprisoned, and sometimes executed for their beliefs. A group of separatists first fled to Holland and established a community.
“After eleven years, about forty of them agreed to make a perilous journey to the New World, where they would certainly face hardships, but could live and worship God according to the dictates of their own consciences. On August 1, 1620, the Mayflower set sail. It carried a total of 102 passengers, including forty Pilgrims led by William Bradford. On the journey, Bradford set up an agreement, a contract, that established just and equal laws for all members of the new community, irrespective of their religious beliefs. Where did the revolutionary ideas expressed in the Mayflower Compact come from? From the Bible. The Pilgrims were a people completely steeped in the lessons of the Old and New Testaments. They looked to the ancient Israelites for their example.
“And, because of the biblical precedents set forth in Scripture, they never doubted that their experiment would work. But this was no pleasure cruise, friends. The journey to the New World was a long and arduous one. And when the Pilgrims landed in New England in November, they found, according to Bradford’s detailed journal, a cold, barren, desolate wilderness. There were no friends to greet them, he wrote. There were no houses to shelter them. There were no inns where they could refresh themselves. And the sacrifice they had made for freedom was just beginning. During the first winter, half the Pilgrims – including Bradford’s own wife – died of either starvation, sickness or exposure. When spring finally came, Indians taught the settlers how to plant corn, fish for cod and skin beavers for coats.
“Life improved for the Pilgrims, but they did not yet prosper! This is important to understand because this is where modern American history lessons often end. Thanksgiving is actually explained in some textbooks as a holiday for which the Pilgrims gave thanks to the Indians for saving their lives, rather than as a devout expression of gratitude grounded in the tradition of both the Old and New Testaments. Here is the part that has been omitted: The original contract the Pilgrims had entered into with their merchant-sponsors in London called for everything they produced to go into a common store, and each member of the community was entitled to one common share. All of the land they cleared and the houses they built belonged to the community as well. They were going to distribute it equally. But while most of the rest of the world has been experimenting with socialism for well over a hundred years – trying to refine it, perfect it, and re-invent it – the Pilgrims decided early on to scrap it permanently. What Bradford wrote about this social experiment should be in every schoolchild’s history lesson. If it were, we might prevent much needless suffering in the future,” such as that we’re enduring now. “‘The experience that we had in this common course and condition…’” this is Bradford. “‘The experience that we had in this common course and condition tried sundry years…that by taking away property, and bringing community into a common wealth, would make them happy and flourishing – as if they were wiser than God,’ Bradford wrote.
“‘For this community [so far as it was] was found to breed much confusion and discontent, and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort. For young men that were most able and fit for labor and service did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men’s wives and children without any recompense,’” without being paid for it, “‘that was thought injustice.’ Why should you work for other people when you can’t work for yourself?” That’s what he was saying. ” The Pilgrims found that people could not be expected to do their best work without incentive. So what did Bradford’s community try next? They unharnessed the power of good old free enterprise by invoking the undergirding capitalistic principle of private property.
“Every family was assigned its own plot of land to work and permitted to market its own crops and products. And what was the result? ‘This had very good success,’ wrote Bradford, ‘for it made all hands industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would have been.’ … Is it possible that supply-side economics could have existed before the 1980s? Yes. Read the story of Joseph and Pharaoh in Genesis 41. Following Joseph’s suggestion (Gen 41:34), Pharaoh reduced the tax on Egyptians to 20% during the ‘seven years of plenty’ and the ‘Earth brought forth in heaps.’ (Gen. 41:47) In no time, the Pilgrims found they had more food than they could eat themselves.
“Now, this is where it gets really good, folks, if you’re laboring under the misconception that I was, as I was taught in school. So they set up trading posts and exchanged goods with the Indians. The profits allowed them to pay off their debts to the merchants in London. And the success and prosperity of the Plymouth settlement attracted more Europeans and began what came to be known as the ‘Great Puritan Migration.’ But this story stops when the Indians taught the newly arrived suffering-in-socialism Pilgrims how to plant corn and fish for cod. That’s where the original Thanksgiving story stops, and the story basically doesn’t even begin there. The real story of Thanksgiving is William Bradford giving thanks to God for the guidance and the inspiration to set up a thriving colony. The bounty was shared with the Indians.” They did sit down” and they did have free-range turkey and organic vegetables, “but it was not the Indians who saved the day. It was capitalism and Scripture which saved the day,” as acknowledged by George Washington in his first Thanksgiving Proclamation in 1789.

Why is it immoral to produce something of value and keep it for yourself, when it is moral for others who haven’t earned it to accept it? If it’s virtuous to give, isn’t it then selfish to take?
Your acceptance of the code of selflessness has made you fear the man who has a dollar less than you because it makes you feel that that dollar is rightfully his. You hate the man with a dollar more than you because the dollar he’s keeping is rightfully yours. Your code has made it impossible to know when to give and when to grab.
You know that you can’t give away everything and starve yourself. You’ve forced yourselves to live with undeserved, irrational guilt. Is it ever proper to help another man? No, if he demands it as his right or as a duty that you owe him. Yes, if it’s your own free choice based on your judgment of the value of that person and his struggle. This country wasn’t built by men who sought handouts. In its brilliant youth, this country showed the rest of the world what greatness was possible to Man and what happiness is possible on Earth.
Then it began apologizing for its greatness and began giving away its wealth, feeling guilty for having produced more than its neighbors. Twelve years ago, I saw what was wrong with the world and where the battle for Life had to be fought. I saw that the enemy was an inverted morality and that my acceptance of that morality was its only power. I was the first of the men who refused to give up the pursuit of his own happiness in order to serve others.
To those of you who retain some remnant of dignity and the will to live your lives for yourselves, you have the chance to make the same choice. Examine your values and understand that you must choose one side or the other. Any compromise between good and evil only hurts the good and helps the evil.
If you’ve understood what I’ve said, stop supporting your destroyers. Don’t accept their philosophy. Your destroyers hold you by means of your endurance, your generosity, your innocence, and your love. Don’t exhaust yourself to help build the kind of world that you see around you now. In the name of the best within you, don’t sacrifice the world to those who will take away your happiness for it.

Winning the Hearts and Minds of the Changing Electorate
One of the more interesting polls I’ve seen over in the last year is that an overwhelming majority of the American people want a splintered government. They do not want one party control of the executive and legislative branches. What does this mean? Well, its significance rests in the idea that while most of us voted for a furtherance of the nanny state, we as a nation remain lukewarm to the progressive ideology. The other glint of hope I see from the current national electorate is that I do not see a rejection of conservatism. Poll after poll suggests that liberty and conservatism still lies in the mind of man but it’s the soulless feel good nature of liberalism that resides in its heart. 2012 Exit polls had the majority of Americans stating they feel the Government is too involved in their lives. Polls also showed a majority of Americans support Arizona style immigration reform.
Why is it that conservatism can’t seem to break through nationally? Because it hasn’t been tried in 32 years, when Reagan beat Carter in 1980 it was because there was a clear line of delineation drawn between both candidates. Reagan spoke boldly of conservatism and American values at the ’76 RNC declaring America “The shining city on a hill”. At a CPAC conference in the mid 70’s Reagan delivered one of his most famous lines, emboldening conservatism and asking us to rely on its ideals;
“I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, “We must broaden the base of our party” – when what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people.
Let our banner proclaim our belief in a free market as the greatest provider for the people.
Let us explore ways to ward off socialism, not by increasing government’s coercive power, but by increasing participation by the people in the ownership of our industrial machine.
It is time to reassert our principles and raise them to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.”
Reagan in those speeches laid the groundwork for two of the most decisive victories for conservatism this nation has ever seen. How do we get back to our base? How do we as a nation steer the ship back to conservative principles? Reagan said it best “no pale pastels, but bold colors”. We need to be steadfast in our convictions. We as conservatives need to know how to articulate those convictions and we need to get away from bumper sticker sloganeering and bring our ideals to the people.
First off, we need to start taking sort of an “inventory” of the ever changing demographics. The idea that changing demographics spells the death of conservatism is nonsense, I myself have been guilty of that belief but I know in the heart of humanity lays the desire of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We need to have a town hall in every black and Latino community in the country. Hispanics have to know they have a common bond in social conservative circles within our movement. We should try and understand the differences in the Latino community, where in the Cuban community most tend to vote republican, the understanding of the ideological differences within various sub-sects of the Hispanic population is crucially important. We need to communicate that conservatism is the only ideology that fits America’s values under its founding. We can’t just declare conservatism better than the progressive ideology, but we need to communicate the destructive nature of progressivism and the negative impact that it has had on our schools and communities. Blacks and Hispanics are, by their spiritual beliefs more in tune with social conservatism than they might realize. A ground work needs to be laid to communicate those ideals while also communicating how fiscal conservatism could change the blight of their communities. I’m sure these town halls would have their setbacks, I’m sure groups like SEIU, Acorn and other Soros funded front groups would protest, kick and scream their way through these meetings, but it’s important to expose these slave masters for what they are.
Expanding the conservative message will take effort, it will take breaking through the filter of the media. Andrew Breitbart was the master of breaking through the mainstream media filter and he is dearly missed but we need to form a collective of citizen journalists to help accomplish what he was about, Conservatism.

Well let me explain this to you Bobby, it’s not about keeping toys, but don’t forget toys cost money and produce jobs. It’s more than that Bobby, it’s about Capitalism. As you continue to take from those who achieve and give to those that don’t… those that achieve are going to lay off from achieving.
You see Bobby, people like me used to spend money. We’ve learned over the years it makes better sense from a tax perspective to spend it rather than turn it over to Uncle Sam to waste on Solar Panel companies and Windmill Farms. Why spend 200k on that RV to travel to my work sites if I can’t write off that expense. Why buy dinners and expensive entertainment for my clients if I don’t get a tax break for it. So you know who suffers Bobby? The RV makers and hotels, and restaurants. The workers of those businesses suffer because they lose their jobs when the business is not there to support them.
The GOP ran a great campaign, a campaign of truth and integrity. Being an independent I moved to you because you had the answer. It’s a shame that the have nots wanting free stuff didn’t figure that message out Bobby. But, that is no reason to swing to the Marxist entitlement side of the pendulum. Doing so only negates the progress you’ve made. Instead, maybe you can concentrate on Election Fraud, because it sure seems to need to be addressed.
In the mean time Bobby, those people like me who once expended the money to keep people working aren’t doing it anymore. We are going to lay back now. No one knows much about Barack H. Obama’s past. He has spent millions of dollars out of his own pocket to make sure none of us know his education records. Needless to say he could have been a complete moron or a political genius, but we will never know because his college records are sealed and we certainly only have evidence of one of those traits.
So after all is said 
and done now that Barack H. Obama has been re-elected is he being accepted as the first Affirmative Action President? Are the left and the liberal Press making allowances for Barack H. Obama because he is black? Lowering his score, setting lower expectations as an allowance? That is, after all, the purpose of Affirmative Action right? It makes allowances for lower scores, lower expectations and lessened achievements to make sure that a minority secures a place. It seems to me if Barack H. Obama was of the white race the tolerant press would be ripping him apart.
His administration can’t come forward (pardon the pun) with a straight answer on Benghazi. They can’t answer a simple question about the plan to address the impending fiscal cliff other than suggesting the GOP better come up with something. Seems like the liberal tolerant world is pretty accepting of murder by the President now, when they had no tolerance for protecting the innocent people of Iraq.

John McCain (R-Ariz) of “sexism and racism” because the criticism leveled at U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending November 3 was 3,334,000, an increase of 171,000 from the preceding week’s revised level of 3,163,000.

The advance number of actual initial claims under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 466,348 in the week ending November 10, an increase of 104,548 from the previous week. There were 363,016 initial claims in the comparable week in 2011.
The advance unadjusted number for persons claiming UI benefits in state programs totaled 2,933,855, an increase of 159,551 from the preceding week. A year earlier, the rate was 2.5 percent and the volume was 3,177,477.
There were 6,773,260 persons claiming benefits in all programs in the comparable week in 2011.

Barack answers questions on Benghazi with lies
Today, during his first press conference in five months, President Obama finally answered questions on Benghazi and the murder of four Americans there. Or rather, he pretended to answer. Instead of actual information, he provided bloviation and overheated rhetoric about just how offended he was. Not as offended as, perhaps, the dead Americans were when the US did nothing to protect them. But pretty offended.
The key moment, however, was Obama’s admission that he was aware of the attacks taking place in Benghazi. After stating that now that the election was over, he’d be happy to give information, he let it slip that he knew what was going on September 11:
I can tell you that immediately upon finding out that our folks were in danger, that my orders to my National Security team were do whatever we need to do to make sure they’re safe. And that’s the same order that I would give anytime that I see Americans are in danger, whether they’re civilian or military, because that’s our number one priority.
This is more information than Obama has revealed before.
We know nothing about Obama’s whereabouts the evening of September 11; we know nothing about the orders he gave. If he did in fact give orders to his national security team, why did we not know anything about them? Why didn’t we hear anything about them? Is there any evidence of such orders?
These are all questions that must be answered by the White House, particularly if President Obama wants to play the wronged politician of honor.

Teachers Flock to Northwestern University for ‘Marxist Conference’
This Saturday, the Midwest Marxist Conference was held at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. The event was teeming with teachers who spoke about the new found bond between the radical socialists and their Teachers Union. The all-day event, which collected money to support Chicago Socialists and featured a communist bookstore, provided students on-campus along with the radical left community to plan the next phase in their activism.
Becca Barnes, a Chicago Teachers Union teacher and organizer with Chicago Socialists, proclaimed at the beginning of the conference that “the struggle here in the United States has entered a new phase. Nowhere have we pointed the way forward more clearly than here in Chicago with the teachers union strike.”
After the opening plenary, breakout sessions addressed more specific topics like the history of the Democratic party, education, and case studies in Russia. In these sessions, speakers continued to celebrate the use of education as a mechanism to insert Marxism into public institutions. In one session, the idea of targeting their message to students, even over “the working class,” was debated.
One teacher, who spoke in an afternoon session, described his tactics to overcome the problem of teachers’ unwillingness to take part in the strike, while Chicago Teachers Union Vice President Jesse Sharkey underscored Barnes’s earlier point when he spoke about the “struggle” of Chicago teachers and the need for additional support from other revolutionary movements. Through a renewed focus on the “strike weapon,” Socialist organizers remarked that they felt their movement had rediscovered its vigor—and the path forward ought to include “mass strikes,” they said.
Eric Ruder of the ISO spoke about the Socialists’ partnership with the Chicago Teachers Union during “The Meaning of Marxism” breakout session:
There are big moments in the sort of chain of historical development that we have to be able to intervene… And in order to that, you need an organization. That’s really the sort of thing you saw in the Chicago teachers strike. In a situation where there was a huge struggle, our organization threw itself in the middle of that and had a demonstrable impact on it.
Because we’ve been rooted, experienced activists who worked together in a collaborative way to try to build up that influence over the long haul… I think when you get in revolutionary moment where your ability to quickly assess what’s happening and make strategic and tactical shifts on the fly, that is essential.
Working class revolutions have never succeeded without the existence of a revolutionary party that’s capable of making those sorts of decisions and providing that kind of leadership. And that’s what we’re asking you, the members of this group, to join and help in that process. We need you to be able to have enough size and influence to matter, but you need us to be able to be part of a force that could intervene in that sort of chain in historical development.
Other speakers addressed perceived weaknesses in the Socialists’ messaging, including the need to shore up the high pay of union members and racism inherent at the AFL-CIO, which, according to participants, has been an historic problem. Others acknowledged that the general public “seems to fear us” and brainstormed ways to counter these fears.
The event itself, though advertised online as via social media, retained a sense of extreme secrecy. Attendees were told not to record video or audio unless they had express permission from organizers. Rather than traditional discussions in the breakout sessions, we were instructed to “raise your hand in a fist” in order to be first approved and then added by a moderator to a queue to speak. This orthodoxy resulted in extremely disjointed Q&A sessions where no one comment followed another and most questions went unanswered.
After attending the all-day event, which began at 11 a.m., I was singled out as “not in solidarity” by International Socialist Organization (ISO) organizer Dennis Kosuth around 4 p.m, and removed from the premises for “not being a Communist.”
Despite registering for the event, the group of socialists that removed me, including pre-school teacher Kirstin Roberts, social worker Alison McKenna, printer Eric Kerl, Socialist organizer Shaun Harkin, and others. They surrounded me at the edge of a staircase, proceeded to push their way closer to me to force me down the stairs, and hurled insults at me as I attempted to find a way to leave safely. Even after leaving the conference, the group continued to bully me, with one larger man saying under his breath that “you know what would happen at Teamsters meeting” inferring a more violent solution to my presence.

(CNSNews.com) – It’s Friday morning, and so far today, the Obama administration has posted 165 new regulations and notifications on its reguations.gov website.
In the past 90 days, it has posted 6,125 regulations and notices – an average of 68 a day.
The website allows visitors to find and comment on proposed regulations and related documents published by the U.S. federal government. “Help improve Federal regulations by submitting your comments,” the website says.
The thousands of entries run the gamut from meeting notifications to fee schedules to actual rules and proposed rule changes.
In recent days, for example, the EPA posted a proposed rule involving volatile organic compound emissions from architectural coatings: “We are approving a local rule that regulates these emission sources under the Clean Air Act (CAA or the Act),” the proposed rule states. “We are taking comments on this proposal and plan to follow with a final action.”
Another proposed rule will provide guidance for FDA staff on “enforcement criteria for canned ackee, frozen ackee, and other ackee products that contain hypoglycin A.” (Ackee is the national fruit of Jamaica; unripened or inedible portions can be toxic.)
Some of the proposed regulations revise regulations already on the books.
The website also links to a video of a speech President Barack Obama gave at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 7, 2011, in which the president promised to remove “outdated and unnecessary regulations.”
“I’ve ordered a government-wide review, and if there are rules on the books that are needlessly stifling job creation and economic growth, we will fix them,” the president said.
A number of groups, including the Competitive Enterprise Institute, expect a rush of new regulations now that President Obama has won a second term:
CEI expects the EPA to move ahead on delayed rules on everything from greenhouse gas emissions to ozone standards. “Rules from the health care bill and the Dodd-Frank financial regulation bill will also likely make themselves known in the weeks to come,” the group said on its website.

VA Business retaliates over Obama win
Virginia’s 13 electoral votes went to President Obama for the second straight election, and the proprietor of a store in the south central city of Bedford is not hiding his dismay.
Lyons Jewelers hung up multiple signs on the windows of the shop indicating the shop would not be open for business Wednesday, including one saying the store was closed to “mourn the loss of the America that our forefathers endowed to us,” WDBJ reported.
“Lyons will reopen tomorrow to continue the fight against a president who seeks my demise” and “Shame on VA & USA” read two other signs.
Another played off a remark Mr. Obama made while campaigning in Roanoke earlier this year about businesses and government assistance that Republicans latched onto as a campaign theme: “I know I didn’t build this — God did.”
One customer did hang up a sign as a response of sorts: “I am sorry you feel this way!!! I do bussiness (sic) I guess I will take it somewhere else!!”

Remember, as I write this, that Obama comes from the same state as Abraham Lincoln and that just as Lincoln oversaw a divided nation, Barack Obama is also making it that way. Lincoln oversaw our nation’s War of Northern Aggression or for those who grew up in public school education, the Civil War. Now it seems that the same mindset is beginning in our country again with petitions submitted to the White House petitions site.
First there was a petition to “Peacefully grant the State of Louisiana to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.” The petition was created November 7 and already has 3,521 signatures. It needs 25,000 by December 7 of this year in order to garner a response from Barack Obama.
Lest you think this petition is isolated. A petition was begun on Friday for Texas to peacefully withdraw from the United States of America and create its own new government. The petition reads:
The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government’s neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it’s citizens’ standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government I’m uneasy about the power grabs that are taking place along with the complete ignoring of the Constitution. What are we to expect except that Americans will become angry and say they have had enough? Well, it looks like that time is quickly approaching.
